Overview And Experience
Akbar is a South African and Canadian lawyer and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.
He obtained his B.A. and LL.B. degrees in 1984 from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, where he conducted an extremely busy and successful practice for his own account until his relocation to Canada.
In Canada, Akbar successfully completed the National Committee for Accreditation Equivalency Certificate in 2002, the J.D. degree at the University of Western Ontario, London, in April 2003, and the Toronto Bar Admission Course in August 2003.
Akbar did his articles and practiced as an associate with a Bay Street law firm before joining KSM Law as a principal.
Akbar received his call to the Ontario Bar in July 2004. Akbar has approximately 28 years of legal experience in civil law, corporate commercial law, personal injury law and family law as well as computer experience, including the planning, implementation, and deployment of specialized legal software.
While Akbar has a special interest in litigation, wills & estates, family law, immigration law and personal injury law, his interests in different areas of the law continue to develop.
